We’ve spent years telling people not to touch their phones while driving. At the same time, we’re putting bigger touchscreens with more functionality into cars. That doesn’t make much sense.

Why I’m building Mobile Safe

This started about six years ago, when my two sons began driving.

Proudly built in Australia, for the roads we all drive.

Like most parents, I worried about them using their phones behind the wheel. We looked at solutions from niche products to the world’s biggest tech companies, but couldn’t find one that solved the whole problem.

So we started building. Three prototypes later, the problem has actually become bigger. Touchscreens have moved from our phones into the cars themselves.

But something else has changed too. AI and voice have reached the point where we believe there’s a better way.

Less distraction. More connection. Keep what matters.

There’s still plenty to prove. But after six years, I believe we’re closer than ever.
